The next step in the journey

T
It’s been three years next month since I opened the first of now three locations and like a lot of small business owners at this stage I have spend time lately thinking about what is next for the business.
Over the holidays in December, I decided to pursue expansion by way of franchising and to that end, I have just finalized our disclosure document, franchise agreement and area development agreement. So now  I am at the stage of exploring options for franchisees – finding, meeting with, selecting, and so on from there. I must admit it feels scary at this stage – sort of reminding me of the sense of bewilderment I had before opening the first store.
I think the ideal franchisee would be an individual (or family group) with commercial baking training and experience who is interested in having  his or her own enterprise but who likes the PGB model and the support we’d provide.  My goal is to establish strong franchisee-franchisor relationships across the GTA, ideally in three areas (west, north, east) and to invest a lot in training and support out of the gates.
No doubt I will be writing a lot more about this journey in posts to come but if any readers know of anyone who may be interested in reviewing this opportunity, well, let them know!

ANOTHER FAVOUR

I am enjoying writing the blog but…I would love to have some questions, comments, ideas, discussion on anything I write about. Please add a comment if any thoughts come to you and for sure I will reply…I am on the blog often.
Thank you!
