Day 1- Sticky on St Clair

D

Yesterday we got the key to 621 St Clair West.
For a moment it was like being on one of those reality tv shows where a crew of people have transformed a house in the space of a week.
Walking into the bright, light and airy kitchen that Leah and her team scrubbed for the last week….I gotta say, it was amazing and momentarily euphoric.“Momentarily” because have you ever noticed that when fantastic moments happen in life usually someone or something is right there to remind you that it’s time to move on to the next thing?
And that was exactly what Andrew and I did yesterday: Andrew to Home Depot to get commercial grade white paint and all the painting supplies needed to paint the kitchen, and me back home to interview bakers to start next week’s training at the store.
Today I am giving the key to Sunita of Sara Leah Interiors, Christina is working on the Coming Soon posters, and I am working on packaging.
Andrew is still painting.
Also today or tomorrow, the door people are coming to measure for a new front door and the contractor starts the demolition out front. And so it goes. The best piece of advice my mom ever gave me was to start in any corner. Mom was referring to a kitchen heaped with dishes after a party but I think of her advice whenever I’m surrounded by stuff to do and unsure where to start.
Start in any corner  – and just know that the next thing to do on the list will become clear after that.
Stay tuned for more Sticky-on-St Clair updates over the next month – and thanks for watching – your support and interest mean so much.
